Commercial Asphalt Parking Lot Paving in Oklahoma City
Pave a new parking lot, expand an existing one, or replace worn pavement. FDZ Construction works with property owners, managers, and general contractors in Oklahoma City, Edmond, and Norman. Share the site, plans, and access notes so we can review the scope and prepare a written estimate.
Who this page is for
Property managers, owners, and GCs.
A commercial lot is a working surface: stalls, drive lanes, deliveries, and the people who use the building every day. Send the address, how the lot is used, and any plans or stall counts you already have. Oklahoma City is the primary target; Edmond and Norman commercial sites are reviewed the same way.
If you are bidding or already awarded, say so on the form. Photos of the existing pavement help when you have them.
Lot work
New construction, expansion, and replacement.
New construction is a lot placed on a prepared base to a planned grade. Expansion adds paved area to an existing lot and has to meet the pavement that is already there. Replacement takes up a failed surface so the lot can be rebuilt for the traffic it actually carries.
Localized failures — a handful of potholes, a broken edge, a defined patch — are estimated on asphalt repair. If the lot needs both a defined repair and a larger paving scope, describe both.
Before paving is priced
Plan and scope review.
Plans, a stall layout, and notes on truck use help define paving thickness, drainage, and striping. A site visit is often still needed before the written number, especially when existing pavement, utilities, or access will affect how the work is sequenced.
We do not accept a quote online. The estimate is written after that review. Call (405) 458-4805 if the lot is already disrupting tenants and you need to talk through timing.
Under the surface
Site preparation, base, and drainage.
Asphalt follows grade. Standing water in a stall, a low edge against a building, or a drive lane that traps runoff will show up again in a new surface if those conditions stay. The estimate looks at existing pavement, compacted base, thickness for the use, and a path for water to leave the lot.
Yard or building drainage that is not the parking surface itself is estimated on yard drainage.
How the lot meets the rest of the site
Paving interfaces, access, and phasing.
Lots meet sidewalks, dumpster pads, dock approaches, and drive lanes. Those joints have to be defined in the scope. Access and phasing are subject to the job: some properties can keep a portion of the lot open; others need a fuller closure. We write what we can support after we understand traffic and deliveries. There is no standard phasing promise on this page.
Markings
Striping coordinated with the paving.
Stall, drive-lane, accessible-stall, and fire-lane markings can follow new paving or overlay work, or they can be requested on an existing lot that is still in shape. Include counts and any layout you need to keep. Striping will not hold a pavement that has already failed. The asphalt hub still summarizes stand-alone striping and milling.
Material
Considering a concrete parking lot?
Curbs, sidewalks, dumpster pads, and a full concrete lot are concrete scopes. If you want a concrete parking lot rather than asphalt, use concrete parking lot construction. This page stays commercial asphalt. Concrete interfaces that meet an asphalt lot can be noted on the form so the joint is not ignored.
What affects the number
Cost drivers, not a published price.
Area, existing pavement, base and drainage, thickness for traffic, phasing, striping, and whether the work is new, expansion, or replacement all move the number. We do not publish asphalt parking lot prices here. The written estimate is the number that applies to the property.
