Asphalt Repair and Pothole Patching in Oklahoma City
Repair potholes, broken edges, and worn-through areas on an asphalt driveway or parking lot. We review the damaged area and surrounding pavement before recommending patching, resurfacing, or replacement. Request a written estimate for work in Oklahoma City, Edmond, or Norman.
Potholes
A hole is a defined failure, not a full rebuild.
Potholes belong on this page when the break is local and the pavement around it still holds. Oklahoma City freeze-thaw and standing water make that pattern common on older drives and lots; Edmond and Norman addresses are reviewed the same way. Tell us how many holes, roughly how large, and whether cars hit them every day.
A pothole in a drive that has already rutted from end to end is a different conversation. That may be replacement — see driveways or parking lots.
Patches
Localized patching where the surface has worn through.
A patch is for a defined area — a broken panel of the drive, a failed stall, a worn turn — when the surrounding asphalt can still carry traffic. The estimate names that area. It is not a promise that the rest of the pavement will not need work later.
Edges
Broken edges along the drive or the lot.
Edges fail where water undercuts the pavement, where cars drop a wheel off the mat, or where the shoulder was never supported. A defined edge repair can be estimated when the rest of the surface still holds. If the edge failure is the start of a wider unraveling, we will say so after looking at it.
After a utility opening
Utility-cut restoration, subject to the actual scope.
When a utility opening has been made through asphalt, the pavement has to be restored. FDZ can estimate that restoration when the cut, the surrounding pavement, and the required finish can be defined. We are not the utility contractor on that work unless that is separately agreed. Tell us who opened the pavement and what you need put back.
What we look at
Base and drainage observations, not an engineering report.
Water sitting in the failure, a soft edge, or a dip that keeps returning are useful observations. They help decide whether a patch is honest or whether resurfacing or replacement should be discussed instead. Photos help explain the area. They do not replace a look at the site, and they are not a structural diagnosis.
This page is for defined patching of existing asphalt, not a catalog of every pavement-maintenance method. Yard drainage away from the pavement is estimated on yard drainage.
Knowing when to stop patching
Repair versus resurfacing or replacement.
A patch fits a defined failure. Resurfacing or an overlay fits a worn surface on a base that can still work after prep. Replacement fits a failed base, trapped water, or failures that are too widespread for a patch to last. Sealcoating does not do any of that work. If the right next step is a driveway or a lot rebuild, we point you to driveways or parking lots.
Material
Need concrete parking lot repair?
If the surface is concrete, use concrete parking lot repair. This page is asphalt. If you are not sure, say so on the form and include a photo of the surface.
What affects the number
Cost drivers, not a published price.
Size of the failed area, condition of the pavement around it, access, traffic, and whether the work stays a patch or needs a larger scope all move the number. We do not publish asphalt repair prices here. The written estimate is the number that applies to the job.

Repair estimate
Request an asphalt repair estimate.
Send the address, driveway or lot, where it failed, and approximate size. A written estimate follows review. Call (405) 458-4805 if you would rather talk through the pavement.
